LOGOS represents the harsher and noisier side of the highly skilled and dedicated artist and after a popular debut, Dunkelheit is proud to present a new ouevre „Grimoire; or the wytchcraft of nether frequencies“. The result is exactly what you would think it is.
Anyone familiar with the work of LOGOS (or AN's other solo project Womb 11) should know what to expect. Gritty black filth, scraping sounds and savvy interactions of various elements form a great whole, oozing with malignancy and rot. No synthesizers or overdubs were used in these recordings – only pure devotion and ecstatic Noise frenzy. „Grimoire; or the wytchcraft of the nether frequencies“ delivers 7 hymns dedicated to the dangerous, chaotic world of theistic Satanism, featuring titles like „Qliphothic Vampyrism“ or „The Shadow of Ghinnom“. Form and content match perfectly and the sounds are just as negative and seductive as the forces they describe.
It would be wrong to label the new work of LOGOS an easy listening experience. As has always been the case with AN's work, many a modern listener may feel the sounds are too crude and raw, but those familiar with the earliest (and best) days of the genre will heavily appreciate what this Russian occultist is doing. Not for everyone, but still mandatory!
